Workshop description:

re-think-dance
with Manuela Martella I move as I think my body, that is, according to my personal body image. However, if this is far from any reality,
my thoughts only stand in the way of my body. That's why re-thinking is  so often so important,
even if it takes time. This weekend we will playfully and analytically work with dynamic movement sequences.
We will put visual material and anatomically based information in direct relation to our personal body experience.
With the help of these impulses, we sharpen our sense for orientation wthin our own body and
gradually approach more complex movement motives, from standing to rolling and from jumping to falling and
everything that may happen in-between and often should/could happen in the best possible way.

um-denken-tanzen

Workshop description:

AXIS SYLLABUS + TRAPEZE & ROPE
with Manuela Martella + Valentina della Ratta
The trapeze and the rope invite the body to relate through traction, anchoring, hooking. By analyzing not only the features, characteristics, limitations and potential of these circus instruments,
but also by examining the angles, cavities, anchoring zones that the body can offer,
we can experience suspension through a synergic interaction between the body and the object.

In this workshop, by using the Axis Syllabus tools, Manuela will lead us through an experience of awareness of the body
as a “human trapeze”, with the aim of developing a more refined perception of the physical-mechanical
and sensory interaction between body and object. We will prepare the body for a more efficient use of its potential.
Anatomical visual representations, individual explorations, choreographic material and a brief moment of
acute and detailed analysis using the Axis Syllabus Notation System will favour the integration of the treated material into body and mind.

Valentina will then facilitate direct interaction with the rope and the trapeze through
individual explorations, sequences and technical elements with the intention of improving body awareness and refining
the quality of movement. The information received will be integrated through personal experience, thus developing a
dialogue with the body to be able to “live” and “move” outside the conventions.

AXIS SYLLABUS + TRAPEZIO e CORDA
