Anne and Arndt, thanks for thinking about an alternative way of organizing GDD with less (time) resources!
I think that's a good approach!
The most effort would be spent on disseminating the call for action. And in that phase maybe we can engage more people who showed interest before (in the call for activists we sent around).
We would still recommend people to use the map, right? Then to outsiders the main difference would be the lack of logos/info about partners.
I think that's ok.
Shall we still try to meet this month to discuss this different way of organizing GDD?

Hi Ana, Anna & Jean!
as mentioned below, we seem to be a rather small group and all of us are
very busy.
So we thought about how we could streamline the GDD 2021 process.
Our suggestion is:
We skip the partner "thing", i.e. we don't ask them, we don't collect
their logos, we don't create a file with nicely arranged logos. On the
website, we would simply eliminate all partner information.
We just send out a "call for action" directly. We don't create an extra
flyer for this, so everybody can use his/her own words.
So we need no translation.
We don't send event organizers any mail (reminder or survey) - so GDD
would be mainly self-organized.
The only thing is, we should keep track to whom we sent cfa (we will
create an xls for that soon).
What do you think? We are looking forward to hearing your thoughts on
this!

unfortunately no one joined today, so there was no meeting. We are not
sure if maybe the GDD team is now too small to still go forward.
How do we proceed? Shall we continue or should we cancel the action day?
Let us decide as soon as possible before we all invest any more effort.
