Commons Mapping Roundup
Hi, All, I’m writing an essay about commons (and new economy) mapping projects for inclusion in David & Silke’s new book of essays. I’m mentioning the Great Lakes Commons Map, Mapping the Commons (.net and .org), P2PValue, P2P Wikisprint, TransforMap, World of Commons (LabGov), Shareable’s Sharing Cities mapjams, the Solidarity Economy maps, Data Commons Cooperative, Viver Bien, CommonsScope, and Falling Fruit. I’d love to hear what you think of these projects, their importance to the movement, and the value they provide. Please let me know if there are other important projects I may not be aware of, especially ones that aren’t in English. I’m relying primarily on info found on the web, so I welcome updates about projects too. All the best, Ellen Ellen C. Hi Ellen, We've collected a lot of mapping projects in this public G-Spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/a/getactive.org/spreadsheets/d/1gyqgHDoEj-w8LEdcPBs_... If you need contact data for the initiatives, we have them in a private spreadsheet - just ask! If you know some initiatives not mentioned here, feel free to add them ☺.
All the best, Ellen

Dear Robert, oh no, it's not that simple :-) Our TransforMap team is currently extremely busy with governance and structural issues, but I think there will be soon an update on this list. Be patient with us, it's a thrilling but complex process. All the best Silke 30.01.2015 um 22:09 schrieb Robert Orzanna:

Hi Robert,
Wasn't the initial idea to merge all these projects identified by Ellen into TransforMap?
thank you for bringing this on the table again. We're constantly working on identifying requirements and *doing* what we intermittently called [Federated Tempospatial Data](http://lmgtfy.com/?q=federated+tempospatial+data) (please click, despite it's mean) It's still quite an academic discipline, which we are challenging with our civic approaches as well as constraints. Building our infrastructure, as being an Animal Farm now (Self Governance), with the process itself being an elk (or better a GNU?), will take its time. But if time plays well, there are a lot more English publications to come in the future. Greetings from looking at our river Spree, jon | gartenkarte <jon@gartenkarte.de>
